In Ministerial Development, we are committed to empowering church pastors, elders, deacons, deaconesses, and their families throughout the Texas Conference. In close collaboration with conference leadership, departments and local congregations, we intentionally work to attract, equip, support and retain a highly qualified and spiritually healthy pastoral workforce.
We believe pastors are the lifeblood of our communities of faith. With that conviction, we serve them with excellence, care and purpose. Our work centers on cultivating pastoral leadership through seven Core Competencies: Character, Evangelism, Leadership, Worship, Management, Scholarship and Relationships.
By nurturing spirit-filled, effective and healthy pastors and congregations, we seek to make a lasting impact for the kingdom of God.
We also recognize the essential role of local church elders, deacons and deaconesses in supporting pastors and strengthening congregational life. As the responsibilities of church leaders continue to grow, equipping these leaders for ministry is more important than ever. Our training opportunities are designed to enhance their skills, deepen their effectiveness and foster strong, Christ-centered connections within their communities.
Join us as we work together to elevate ministry and enrich the spiritual life of our churches. Together As One, we can make a profound difference in our communities—and beyond.
